It's a pleasant UI and it doesn't automatically start downloading every email you've ever had when you first sign in with email account (Thunderbird Desktop Client does that and I'm still trying find a solution to get it to delete the emails on my local machine, but still have original copies of the emails on the server.) I want Thunderbird to set the account like this app does, by default.

I tried K9 years ago and found it a bit ugly, but with the death of Nine, I decided to give it another shot. The customization options and setup have improved significantly, and I was excited to learn about the impending transition to Thunderbird (have used it on desktop for years). If I could add any feature, it would be transparency options on widgets. Thank you K9 and Mozilla for finally bringing Thunderbird to Android!

It's a pleasant feeling being able to use one email client across multiple devices. In addition, the fact that it is being backed by Thunderbird is a huge plus. Set it up how you like, finds your account with ease. I am even using an IMAP and it found my information; it usually a nightmare because I would have to do it manually. UI can be a challenge, but still better than few I have used in the past.
